D20 Dice Keychain Reassembly Tutorial

Dice, TutorialLuke WoodruffComment

Purchased or received a removable dice keychain and need a hand putting it back together? So did I when Tiffany designed the first one, this guide should give you a leg-up on those pesky rings. The step-by-step without images is included at the bottom of this post.

step 1

Step 1

Gather all pieces for the keychain and lay the dice cage out as shown.

step 2

Step 2

Pull the two large rings that are connected by the small rings so that they are parallel.

step 3

Step 3

Flip the topmost large ring to the other side, opening the cage (this ring should not have a small ring attached to it).

step-4.png

Step 4

Place the D20 on one of the rings connected by small rings (same rings mentioned in step two).

step-5.png

Step 5

Pull the two large rings not connected to small rings up around the D20.

step-6.png

Step 6

Slide the small connecting chain to the bottom of the cage so that it is between the two rings you just pulled up (as opposed to being on one side of them, which prevents some movement).

step-7.png

Step 7

Wiggle the D20 around until the top closes enough to latch together with the clasp.

Step 8

Hook the clasp onto the rings, and you should be done.

Here’s a quick summary of all the steps:

1. Gather all pieces for the keychain and lay the dice cage out.

2. Pull the two large rings that are connected by the small rings so that they are parallel.

3. Flip the topmost large ring to the other side, opening the cage (this ring should not have a small ring attached to it).

4. Place the D20 on one of the rings connected by small rings (same rings mentioned in step two, either one should work).

5. Pull the two large rings not connected to small rings up around the D20.

6. Slide the small connecting chain to the bottom of the cage so that it is between the two rings you just pulled up (as opposed to being on one side of them, which prevents some movement).

7. Wiggle the D20 around until the top closes enough to latch together with the clasp.

8. Hook the clasp onto the rings, and you should be done!
